Job Description

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in southwest Jacksonville is seeking a Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic trauma and acute care surgery team with the only trauma center in Clay County. HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is a Florida Department of Health Level II trauma HCA Orange Park Trauma: Fulltime role with 14 shifts per month: 12hour primary inhouse coverage plus 12hour backup (rarely called in) The acute care surgery team has six advanced practice professionals with 24hour APP coverage General surgery and emergency medicine residents rotate on the service The program participates in TQIP and TQIP collaboratives 2000 trauma patients in 2024Covers all trauma and emergency general surgery call for the hospital Qualified Candidates: Board certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care Have or be able to obtain an unrestricted license to practice in Florida not subject to any restrictions probationary terms or conditions No history of license to practice being revoked restricted or suspended by any professional licensing agency in any state or jurisdiction Have current unrestricted DEA registration Incentive/Benefits Package:Employment position through HCA Physician Services Group (PSG)Highly competitive compensationComprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision life short & long term disability options 401k and moreCME time / allowanceOccurrencebased malpractice
