Job Description
The purpose of this classification is to perform difficult protective service work providing emergency medical care and response to hazardous materials incidents. (see attached Job Description) Paramedic 2020
QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
EDUCATION/TRAINING: High school diploma or GED; supplemented by college level course work or vocational training in emergency medical services.
EXPERIENCE:Three 3 years previous experience and/or training that includes EMT and Paramedic work; or any equivalent combination of education training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this job.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia drivers license. Must possess and maintain a valid certification as a Paramedic and certification in ACLS and CPR.
