Job Description
Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District is looking for an organized detail oriented accountant to join our Central Office position provides accounting support to the supervisory union and nine schools. The accountantacts as the primary financial agent for the food service program throughout the district comanagesthe annual purchase order system supports Facilities Coordinator in purchase order processgenerates varied monthly financial reports works closely with school administrative staff to providedaytoday chart of accounts and purchase order support provides training for administrativesupport districtwide in accounting systems and recommends improvements designed to enhancefinancial reporting processes.
This position is fulltime 32 hours a week) yearround with steady biweekly monthly and quarterly rhythms as well as shifting priorities throughout the year as positionworks closely with central office accounting staffschool nutrition director and school nutrition staff andschoolbased administrative assistants. Fields general inquiries from all employees surrounding thegeneral ledger distribution of transactions and proper accounting procedures.
Bachelors degree in accounting or business or with three years work experience required. Familiarity with governmental fund accounting systems preferred. This position offers flexibility in work hours the potential for a hybrid of remote and inperson work once fully trained a paid half hour lunch each day and a supportive team of colleagues.
