Job Description
Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our longterm clients team at a Retirement Community in Apple Valley. The ideal candidate will have 3 years experience in maintenance experience unclogging sinks changing lightbulbs light painting grounds keeping experience/curb appeal be able to manage/organize daily tasks independently. 2nd Class Boilers License and mechanical and HVAC knowledge is required for this role. This is a contract to hire role 90180 days before conversion).
This role will be working with 1 building with 125 units of independent living assisted living and memory care units.
Salary: $24$27/hour DOQ. This is a contract to hire role 90180 days before conversion).
Schedule: Monday Friday 8am 430pm.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for creating a safe and secure environment by maintaining the buildings grounds and equipment in a safe and efficient manner consistent with regulations and established policies procedures and best practices.

- Maintain an attractive campus appearance consistent with the clients intent.
- Execute assigned responsibilities for buildings and grounds as defined by the site leadership.
- Assignments may include:
- Building and Equipment repair
- Troubleshooting complex problems
- Working with contractors and vendors
- Maintain life safety systems
- Preventive maintenance routines
- Completion of daily work orders
- Building grounds and equipment maintenance
- Painting
- Apartment turns
- Building maintenance
- Customer requests
- Snow removal
- Pool care
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 3 years experience in commercial or residential building maintenance.
- 2nd Class Boilers License is required 1st Class C is highly preferred).
- Experience with Mechanical and HVAC is required for this role
- Able to work independently multitask follow directions and work under supervision.
- Relate well and provide a professional image and services to all customers.
- Demonstrated compatibility with Companys mission and operating philosophies.
- Demonstrated ability to read write speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
- Must be able to participate in an afterhours emergency oncall rotation consisting of one week oncall at a frequency depending on the size of the oncall group.
- Have a valid drivers license and valid auto insurance.
- Be able to pass a Motor vehicle report.
