The Boeing Company is currently seeking a MidLevel Linux Administrator to join the team in Berkeley MO.

As a MidLevel Linux Administrator you will play a crucial role in integrating logistics manufacturing and engineering into a seamless ecosystem. Your expertise will be essential in installing configuring and maintaining a secure network that supports the tools and more importantly the talented people driving our mission forward.

In this position you will directly support our Air Dominance (AD) programs including the F15 F18 P8A Apache Training Systems Mission Systems Phantom Works F22 and Flight Simulation initiatives. You will help provide enterprise capabilities within closed networks encompassing standard office environments application development stacks engineering workflows and vulnerability remediation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of a Linux environment including scripting and analyzing computing requirements

• Perform activities to install configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware software and components

• Participate in activities to plan develop design and integrate all computer applications

• Conduct Linux troubleshooting diagnose and resolve system issues ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our Linux environments

• Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives

• Evaluate complex systems production readiness and supportability

• Perform the restoration of complex computing service operations

• Perform complex system problem identification and resolution

• Implement security measures to safeguard systems and data including firewalls access controls and regular updates.

• Manage user accounts permissions and access controls to maintain system integrity

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Active Security certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of your start date

• 3 years of experience with installing configuring troubleshooting and administering support for RHEL 6 or higher

• 3 years of experience in policies and implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF)

• 3 years of experience designing developing and implementing secure Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) solutions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 years of experience with networking fundamentals

• 3 years of experience creating and maintaining custom windows or Linux images (isos/VM templates)

• 3 years of experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies

• 3 years of experience with Kubernetes Ansible Docker/Containerization and/or Nessus

• Experience using Trellix ePO configuration and management

• Experience with developing PowerShell and Linux scripts for hardware integration automating OS deployment and configuration and creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers

• Experience with management and configuration of Splunk Indexers/Forwarders

• Experience with backup and Restore technologies
