The Honolulu Board of Water Supply Water Resources Division is looking to hire a HydrologistGeologistIlocated in Honolulu. This position is the entry level for qualified professionals in the area of geology and hydrology.
Duties include but are not limited to:- Collecting collating and learning techniques of interpretation of water quality data.
- Collecting samples from wells and test borings.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports of findings and investigations.

The expectation for HydrologistGeologist I in this department is to learn and progress upward to the higher levels in the profession.A HydrologistGeologist I (SR18 may progress up the career ladder with satisfactory work experience and demonstration of applicable knowledge and skills up to a HydrologistGeologist V (SR26. There may be promotional opportunities above the HydrologistGeologist V level.

At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a noncitizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:Equivalent to graduation from a regionallyaccredited fouryear college or university with major work in geology or hydrology.Substitution: Work experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree on a yearforyear basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge skills and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelors degree.The education requirement must be met at the time of application. Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionallyaccredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program evidence of comparability or an original transcript.Verification Requirement: In order to be given credit for your education clearly list your education credentials on your application. As part of the hiring process you may be asked to furnish documentation to verify your education to satisfy this education qualification requirement.
