Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Deskside Support II to join our growing team. In this role you will be responsible for installing maintaining servicing and repairing (breakfix) deskside computer related products and legacy systems which include hardware software networking and operating systems. Our ideal candidate will have experience supporting both Mac and PC users. If you enjoy making an impact by supporting the devices of our many technical teams this position could be a great fit for you!

This position requires 5 days in the office and will be a W2 Hourly 3month contract with possible extension. 

The hourly rate is $ 15/hr. $ 17/hr. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance401k professional development trainings our referral bonus program and our wellness program.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installing maintaining servicing and repairing (breakfix) desk side computer related products and legacy systems which include hardware software networking and operating systems. Equipment support may include Enterprise Server PC & laptop computers storage subsystems and drives computer and telecommunications systems as well as networking.
  • Provides call taking and sitespecific support. 
  • Provides maintenance and support on legacy products.
  • Installs and maintains PCs and associated software networks servers and peripherals.
  • Expertise in Mac and PC operating systems i.e. Microsoft/Linux/Unix networking SW antivirus SW. and all tier one manufacturer server PC and printer products OEM network devices and document processing products. 
  • Supports network products from operational and maintenance perspectives.
  • Performs installs moves adds and changes (IMACs) as required.
  • Tests and certifies PCs networks servers and client approved applications.
  • Provides followup on problems or escalation takes responsibility for potential or desired followup.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventative maintenance.
  • Maintains a functional understanding of company service solutions. 

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field and/or equivalent work experience. 
  • 2 3 years of experience as a Desktop or Deskside support. 
  • experience with Mac and PC platforms and operating systems.
  • Experience supporting VPN clients.
  • Experience with MS 365 and its peripherals.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting installations and removals of programs password resets and access issues.
  • Experience supporting MS Teamsrooms for conferencing is a plus.
