Job Description

Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Snowflake Data Engineer with at least 6 years of experience in database design development and data pipeline implementation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake strong SQL and Python skills and a solid background in ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.
You will collaborate closely with data analysts engineers and business stakeholders to design scalable data solutions that meet critical business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:Design build and maintain efficient scalable and secure database solutions using Snowflake.
- Data Integration:Develop and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources into Snowflake leveraging Python scripts and stored procedures.
- Data Modeling:Create and maintain logical and physical data models to support analytics reporting and operational workflows.
- Collaboration:Partner with data analysts business stakeholders and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Performance Tuning:Monitor database performance and make recommendations for optimization scalability and cost efficiency.
- Documentation:Maintain comprehensive documentation of database architectures data flows configurations and technical processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 6 years of handson experience in database development.
Strong working experience with Snowflake and at least one other cloudbased data platform (e.g. AWS Redshift Azure Synapse Google BigQuery).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL for complex query development and performance tuning.
Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration best practices.
Expertise in data modeling techniques (e.g. star schema snowflake schema).
Experience building data pipelines using Python (including libraries such as Pandas SQLAlchemy or similar).
Familiarity with data governance security and compliance best practices.
Analytical and ProblemSolving Skills:
Strong ability to troubleshoot optimize and innovate scalable data solutions.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow DBT or AWS Glue.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g. Git).
Certifications in Snowflake or any cloud data engineering specialization.
Experience working in Agile environments.
