Role Overview:
Willware Technologies is seeking a seasoned Cloud Data Warehouse Modeller to join our data architecture team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modeling structured and semistructured data within modern cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery Amazon Redshift or Azure Synapse Analytics. You ll play a critical role in designing and optimizing data models that power analytical and operational decisionmaking across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and optimize data models in cloud data warehouse platforms for both structured and semistructured data.
- Apply best practices for storage and processing efficiency to ensure scalable and costeffective data solutions.
- Use data modeling techniques like Star Schema Snowflake Schema and normalization/denormalization strategies to support diverse business use cases.
- Write efficient highperformance SQL using techniques such as partitioning clustering and materialized views.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including data engineers analysts and business stakeholders to align data models with business requirements.
- Maintain and evolve schema designs to meet changing business needs while ensuring backward compatibility and minimal disruption.
- Implement robust data validation consistency checks and schema enforcement mechanisms.
- Develop and maintain data documentation including ERDs data dictionaries and lineage tracking.
- Stay updated with platformspecific optimizations particularly for BigQuery Redshift or Azure Synapse to ensure performance and cost efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 12 20 years of experience in data modeling with a focus on cloud data warehousing.
- Deep knowledge of cloudnative DW platforms like BigQuery Redshift or Azure Synapse.
- Strong SQL programming skills and data architecture acumen.
- Proven experience with data design principles performance tuning and query optimization.
- Familiarity with data governance security and quality assurance standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a hybrid work environment.
