Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Integrated Pharmacology team located in Boston MA. This individual will work in a collaborative setting with a team of biologists to execute sophisticated biological experiments. Experience in cell culture or molecular techniques such as qPCR Western blotting immunocytochemistry and imaging is preferred. The applicant must be a demonstrated team player and able to work closely and responsively within their team. Excellent communication and people skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Senior Scientists to plan execute and analyze experiments.
- Handle biological samples such as cells and tissues.
- Culture mammalian cells and maintain sterile technique.
- Perform immunocytochemistry and molecular techniques such as Western blotting and qPCR.
- Maintain accurate and reliable record keeping including database entry notebook and all other pertinent documentation.
Qualifications:
- The qualified candidate will be enrolled in a graduate or PhD degree program and have a relevant background in Cell Biology Molecular Biology or a related discipline.
- Detailoriented highly motivated works efficiently in a team as well as independently and be adaptable to fastpaced environment.
- Follow the guideline of data integrity and deliver data with good time management.
- Experience in cell culture and sterile techniques is preferred.

- Candidate must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before July 2025
- Candidate must be available to work fulltime 40 hours per week from July December 2025.

Pay Range 30.00 50.00 USD/hour
