Position Summary

As a Commercial Lines Account Manager you will oversee customer service administrative tasks and strategic planning to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions. Responsibilities include managing client renewals maintaining client relationships and collaborating with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial client renewals providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Market renewals negotiate terms with insurers and prepare renewal proposals.
  • Review and manage insurance provisions in client contracts including providing quotes and policy endorsements.
  • Assist clients with claims ensuring efficient resolution.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation using agency systems.
  • Collaborate with Producers Customer Service Representatives and Account Executives to deliver comprehensive services.
  • Mentor Customer Service Representatives fostering their professional development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends through ongoing education and seminars.
  • Adhere to agency policies and guidelines for quality service and error prevention.
  • Participate actively in team and department meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business finance or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance ideally as an account manager.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
  • Proven negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to professional development: Must hold or be willing to obtain CISR or AINS designation.
  • Valid P&C Insurance License.
