Job Title: Head of Finance
Location: NW1 London
Employment Type: Fulltime
Salary: 70K pa
Work Arrangement: Hybrid 3 days in office 2 WFH
Head of Finance
Role Overview:
My client is seeking a strategic and handson Head of Finance to lead their finance function and oversee key operational areas of their growing organization. Reporting directly to the CEO and MD you will play a pivotal role in driving their financial performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Core Finance: Oversee daily financial activities including accounts payable/receivable payroll general ledger bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Manage budgeting forecasting and financial reporting processes.
- Financial Controls: Implement and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
Project Finance & Management:
- Project Finance: Evaluate project profitability assess financing options and manage client finances according to budgets and project payments.
- Contract Management: Calculate project fees issue fee proposals and work with legal and design teams to mitigate contract risks and monitor project resources.
- Client Liaison: Liaise with clients for funds requests allocations and budget discussions.
International Trade:
- Trade Finance: Leverage knowledge of international trade finance currency exchange import/export regulations and trade finance to optimize crossborder transactions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations to minimize risks.
HR Administration:
- HR Operations: Oversee HR administrative tasks including onboarding offboarding and maintaining personnel records.
- HR Policy & Compliance: Work with external HR advisors to provide guidance on HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of financial processes and systems with proficiency in accounting software.
- Project Finance & Management: Experience in project finance and contract management.
- International Trade: Knowledge of international trade finance and import/export regulations.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven leadership skills strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Qualifications: ACCA or CIMA qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Industry Experience: Experience in ecommerce or commerce preferably within a design studio environment.
