Your determination to deliver quality and accuracy will improve health outcomes that people and communities depend on now and in the Specific InformationOur global Clinical Operations colleagues within our PPD clinical research services provide endtoend support for clinical trials from study start up to monitoring through to study close out across commercial and government contracts. Together we help clients define and develop clinical programs minimize delays and execute highquality costefficient clinical Impactful Work:Manages the day to day activities performance and supervision of the research site. Responsible for the effective of site protocols and providing daily direction to the sites staff. Acts as the liaison between the investigator and the research team and ensures the and coordination of clinical research activities according to the organizations SOPs ICH/GCP and FDA guidelines.A day in the Life:Under direction of principal investigator provides direct or indirect supervision of all clinical and administrative aspects of a clinical trial within the research staffing requirements and liaises with operations on staffing needs and flow of clinical procedures for upcoming serve as project manager and/or study coordinator on a given protocol as new operational strategies to enhance efficiencies provide competitive advantages and improve overall profitability of the potential study opportunities and facilitates the feasibility process considering both recruitment and operational rapport with the local healthcare community to increase awareness of site operations foster relationships with local physicians and develop additional subject and patient recruitment staff which may include interviewing and selection job description preparation professional development goal setting performance management coaching and mentoring employee counseling and separations. Approves courses of action on salary administration hiring corrective action and terminations. Reviews and approves time records expense reports requests for leave and overtimeKeys to Success:EducationBachelors degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualificationExperiencePrevious experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5 years).1 year of leadership responsibilityIn some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education trainingand/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet therequirements of the Skills AbilitiesAdvanced knowledge of clinical trial processes and expertise / knowledge of clinical study operationsKnowledge of FDA regulations and ICH GCP guidelinesKnowledge of budgeting / forecasting / planning projectsStrong management and proven leadership skillsExcellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyProblem solving and troubleshooting abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office productsCapable of acting as a liaison with the client investigator study team and other departments/divisionsPhysical Requirements / Work EnvironmentWork is performed in an office and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious drives to site locations frequent domestic travel and rare international protective equipment required such as protective eyewear garments and to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare vertical and /or stationary for 68 hours per hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast simple repeated movements of the fingers hands and mobility bending and twisting of upper body and to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 1520 to access and use a variety of computer software developed both inhouse and to communicate moderately complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and interacts with others relates sensitive information to diverse to apply basic principles to solve conceptual a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
