Fire Prevention Inspector I: $25.21 $32.15

Fire Prevention Inspector I/II/III
Performs specialized field and office work in fire prevention with responsibility for enforcement of fire safety codes laws and ordinances to includes inspection of commercial buildings permitted projects and acceptance testing to ensure compliance with the Life Safety Code (NFPA 101. Initiative and judgment must be exercised to recognize fire and job site hazards and acquire code compliance. Field work exposes employee to varying weather conditions chemicals noxious fumes insects heights and confined areas. Work is performed under general supervision according to established guidelines and is reviewed through daily conferences.
Minimum Qualifications:
Fire Prevention Inspector I: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate with six 6 months to one 1 year experience in fire inspection fire prevention or related field; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Must possess and maintain State of Florida Fire Safety Inspector Certification from the Division of State Fire Marshal and a valid Florida Drivers License. Must pass a background check which includes a polygraph.
Fire Prevention Inspector II: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate with two to three 23 years experience in fire inspection fire prevention; or an equivalent combination of related education training and experience. Must possess and maintain State of Florida Fire Safety Inspector Certification from the Division of State Fire Marshal and a valid Florida Drivers License. Must pass a background check which includes a polygraph.
Fire Prevention Inspector III: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate with four 4 or more years experience in fire inspection fire prevention; or an equivalent combination of related education training and experience. Must possess and maintain State of Florida Fire Safety Inspector Certification from the Division of State Fire Marshal with a valid Florida Drivers License. Must pass a background check which includes a polygraph.
A working knowledge of; Fire Alarms (NFPA 72 Fire Sprinklers (NFPA 1313R13D) Private Underground Fire lines (NFPA 24 and Fire Pumps (NFPA 20 is preferred.
