Job Description
Summary of Position:
Staff Ecologists will conduct background research perform ecology resource field surveys prepare technical reports in compliance with federal and state laws and interact with clients and regulatory agencies under the direction of the Senior Ecologist/Supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as assigned ecologist on beginnertointermediate ecological resource projects with competing deadlines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with technical teams government agency representatives key clients designers landowners project managers and other departments to address ecological resource concerns and ensure coordination and efficiency on projects.
- Conduct background research using a variety of primary and secondary sources.
- Conduct ecology resource field surveys while adhering to Department safety protocols and procedures.
- Prepare proficient and efficient technical reports and final production of ecological resource documents which include comprehensive plans and graphics.
- Collaborate with Senior Ecologist/Supervisor or Business Unit Manager in defining operational systems and process improvements.

Compensation Range:
