Know Your Rights: Notice for California Applicants: NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is responsible and accountable for the quality of nursing care provided in the NICU.
- Providing policies procedures clinical orientation staff development mentoring consultation and the maintenance of state and national standards of care.
- The CNS is responsible for the collection submission evaluation and dissemination of required data.
- The NICU education plan is developed and implemented in consultation with the NICU Nursing and Medical Directors.
Qualifications
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING
1. Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State.
2. Current certification by the State Board of Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
3. Current certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing from a nationally recognized accrediting organization (i.e. the NCC)
4. Three 3 years of clinical experience in neonatal nursing care
a. Minimum of one 1 year experience in neonatal nursing care at a NICU that is equivalent to a Regional or Community NICU
5. NRP certificate upon hire and maintain current
6. NRP Instructor preferred
7. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role which includes estimated wages benefits and other forms of compensation is $77584.00 to $123510.00 on an annualized basis.
