Position Summary
As a Staff Software Engineer you will develop applications/web services and cloud native apps using Java/J2EE REST API Spring Core Spring MVC Framework Spring Boot Framework Spring Security Spanner and other tech stacks (Open source and proprietary).
*This role is hybrid working out of one of our corporate offices in Woonsocket RI Parsippany NJ or Richardson TX.
Responsibilities include
Designs and develops functionality/application for given requirements by focusing on Functional NonFunctional and Maintenance needs.
Collaborates with other members of the development team and stakeholders to make highlevel architectural decisions proposes design patterns and ensures scalability performance and maintainability of digital solutions.
Integrates various software components or systems ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the solution.
Develops and implements detailed test cases carries out code reviews performs debugging and resolves issues to guarantee the reliability stability and high quality of solutions.
Creates and maintains technical documentation including system designs architecture diagrams code documentation and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration.
Participates in agile or other development methodologies attends meetings contributes to project planning and helps drive the progress and success of projects.
Supports and troubleshoots production incidents with a sense of urgency by understanding customer impact.
Required Qualifications
7 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development
6 years of experience in Java / Advanced Java
5 years of experience in developing services using Spring Spring boot and Rest APIs
5 years of experience working with stakeholders including Product Management Engineering and UX team members
3 years of solid experience with OOP and design patterns
1 years of exposure to any of the leading cloud platforms (GCP Azure or AWS)
Preferred Qualifications
Functional knowledge and experience of Pharmacy
Experience working within microservices architecture
Experience with python / node js
Good understanding of regulatory compliances including PCI PII and PHI
Experience promoting proper implementation of Agile processes techniques and principles
Good knowledge of CI/CD build automation tools like Jenkins / GitHub Actions
Proactive attitude highly selfmotivated and able to work without constant oversight
Excellent communications skills with ability to communicate effectively in visual verbal and written form
Strong desire to build and test from the start with TDD development experience
Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma 4 years relevant experience)
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$118450.00 $284280.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus commission or shortterm incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the companys equity award program.
