Job Description
THE POSITION

This is a fulltime professional position responsible for the provision of a full range of social services to children and families in need of Children & Youth Services. Located in the Poconos we have an array of social services agencies working in collaboration with our agency. Monroe County is committed to providing quality care and hope to the most vulnerable populations in our county.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Fulltime employment.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday Friday with a 1hour lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience andTraining Requirements:- Six months of experience as a Casework Intern (Local Government) program; or
- A bachelors degree with a social welfare/social work major; or
- A bachelors degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology social welfare psychology gerontology criminal justice or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology social welfare psychology gerontology criminal justice or other related social sciences.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police clearance PA Child Abuse history clearance and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
