Senior Mission Needs Systems Engineer

Peraton is hiring a Senior Mission Needs Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team you will support one of the largest enterprisewide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a fulltime position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As a Senior Mission Needs Systems Engineer on our team you will provide systems engineering support to the customers highlevel endtoend IT requirements definition by supporting the predesign step of the customers enhanced solution process. You will support writing the Mission Need requests (highlevel functional system requirements) and provide analysis of the mission needs in development including initial scoping identification of deficiencies to be resolved by the solution identification of affected domains and potential remedies to be evaluated. Additionally you will support the initial scoping and categorization of the effort required to provide the solution which shall be graphically depicted and presented to decisionmaking boards.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Systems Engineering or a related discipline and at least 15 years of systems engineering experience. A Masters or PhD Degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Note: A High School Diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
• Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

• Familiarity with the customers environment domains programs and projects. Of note especially helpful if familiar with customer acquisition process.
• Significant experience with Intelligence Community customers their missions and infrastructures.
• Demonstrated ability to translate user interviews/observations into domain descriptions workflow diagrams and identify problem areas within.
• Employ sound system engineering and humanmachine interaction principles to develop vet with customers and refine highlevel conceptual designs in response to identified problems.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers.
• Demonstrated customer interface experience in eliciting technical requirements.
• Experience working on project development from requirements definition to deployment.
