SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Juvenile Services Manager the Internship position is responsible for the direct care of the female atrisk youth entrusted to Peckham. The Internship position will have the responsibility of assisting direct care staff in providing a safe caring team environment for these adolescents. Additionally the Intern will participate in learning to develop implement and document each adolescents treatment plan attend to personal health and behavioral needs of the adolescents and other duties including light housekeeping assisting with homework cooking completing required paperwork and participating with residents in their community activities and recreational activities. Intern will assist direct care staff in crisis intervention and participation in clinical consultation and treatment conferences. Our contract requires that this position be filled by a female. This internship is for at least 10 hours per week. Intern may be assigned to any shift or day to complete minimum required hours.
