The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer in Canada to join our engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining largescale distributed systems while providing technical leadership across multiple teams

What you will do:

• Design and implement scalable reliable distributed systems using modern cloudnative technologies

• Lead technical architecture decisions and drive engineering excellence across teams

• Mentor and guide other engineers promoting best practices and engineering standards

• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical strategy

• Contribute to system design code reviews and technical documentation

What were looking for:

• 10 years of professional software development experience

• Strong expertise in backend development using Go and Python

• Extensive experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture

• Proven experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration

• Deep understanding of eventdriven architectures and message queuing systems

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure)

• Strong system design and problemsolving skills

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

• Experience with application security and secure coding practices

• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and tools

• Frontend development experience with React JavaScript and TypeScript

• Contributions to opensource projects

Technical skills youll need:

• Backend Languages: Go Python

• Frontend Technologies: JavaScript TypeScript React

• Core Technologies: Kubernetes Docker Message Queues

• Architecture: Microservices Eventdriven Systems

• Infrastructure: Cloud Platforms CI/CD Infrastructure as Code

• Security: Application Security OAuth JWT API Security

Salary Range: 220 260 CAD equity. Exact compensation will vary based on skills and experience.
