Summary:
The Assistant Directors of Student Activities (ADSA) play a vital role in fostering student engagement and school spirit through extracurricular activities. Reporting to the Director of Student Activities (DSA) and Principal each ADSA will support smooth operation of all extracurricular activities while upholding the schools mission and values.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Student Activities (DSA) in overseeing and managing the high schools athletic programs and student clubs organizations and leadership groups.
- Serve as a point of contact for studentathletes student leaders coaches club sponsors faculty and parents regarding school related activities.
- Attend all home and designated away events and activities as assigned by the DSA
- Assist in coordinating schedules transportation and logistics for events.
- Oversee the formation approval and renewal of clubs ensuring they align with school policies and values.
- Collaborate with administration faculty parents and community partners to enhance student experiences.
- Assist in planning and executing club fairs student government elections leadership workshops service projects community outreach initiatives and school wide events.
- Supervise gameday operations including ticketing security weapon detectors crowd management and facility setup.
- Collaborate with the marching band cheer team and student section to enhance school spirit at select events.
- Oversee intramural sports and assist with organizing tournaments.
- Ensure compliance with VHSL league state and national athletic regulations.
- Promote sportsmanship teamwork leadership school spirit and student wellbeing.
- Assist with the management of the National Honor Society Student Council and academic teams.
- Assist in budgeting fundraising resource allocation and booster club relations.
- Help coordinate awards nights banquets and senior night events for studentathletes.
- Assist with crisis management and student safety during events and activities.
- Contribute to the promotion of student activities through marketing social media and internal communications.
- Maintain records of student involvement and leadership development.
- Work with club advisors to develop engagement strategies and encourage student participation.
- Act as a mentor and role model for students involved in extracurricular activities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education Sports Management Student Affairs or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Experience in student activities athletics or leadership programming at the high school or collegiate level.
- Strong organizational leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously.
- Willingness and availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Passion for student engagement and school spirit.
Salary:
Salary is based on Tier 2 of the Coaching Stipend $10070 annually.
