Job Description

POSITION: Moderate Special EducationTeacher Craneville Elementary School

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position involves teaching in a substantially seperate classroom while creating opportunities for meaningful inclusion opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • MA DESE Moderate Special Education Licensure gradesK5.
  • Knowledge of IEP regulations (ESped experience desirable).
  • Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities; experience working with students with Autism preferable.
  • Knowledge of ABA programming a plus.
  • Experience in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans.
  • Ability to develop meaningful standards based lesson plans.

DUTIES:

  • Work directly with students on the Autism spectrum implementing an ABAbased curriculum with consultation from the staff BCBA;
  • Direct paraprofessionals in carrying out discrete trials teaching and functional languagebased programming;
  • Teach basic math reading and written language skills.
  • Completing MCAS alternate assesments.
  • Collaborative with service providers and general education teachers.

REPORTS TO: Principal and Director of Student Services

SALARY: In accordance with the teachers contract
