ROLE SUMMARY:
The Category Capabilities Manager is responsible for generating leading and managing Beer Category strategy across the country working with our regional teams to implement test and evaluate various methods to grow and expand the Beer Category. This role includes developing and nurturing customer and internal crossfunctional customer relationships leading project teams coaching and mentoring Labatt professionals with a continuous focus on personal and professional growth and development.
This role has full lifecycle responsibility from project ideation to shopper research to inmarket relevancy including identifying trends/opportunities developing proposals with various research firms pursuit assistance delivery team education and leadership followed by performance evaluation.
JOB RESONSIBILITIES:
Instrumental in shaping Category Strategy
Lead projects from ideation to research to
Build various tools to enhance sales team efficiency
Apply knowledge of disruptive trends competitor activity and market data to advise customers and internal teams on Category Strategy
Conduct macro and micro analysis of the beer market to ascertain consumer trends in the global brewing industry and in each segment in order to identify category opportunities
Lead regular Category strategy/training sessions with a variety of stakeholders
Be a Category expert advising internal and external customers on various threat factors and growth opportunities
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Post secondary education
35 years of experience (CPG industry preferred) in Category Management Strategy or in a consulting capacity
Experience in strategy/business transformation innovation ideation evaluation and adoption
Completed Undergraduate degree in a Business/Management/Analytics or related field
Experience working with large data sets ability to find the insight and interpret data in a way to uncover opportunities
Strong senior/executive stakeholder management skills exceptional emotional intelligence ability to relate to a variety of personality types
Superior written and verbal communication skills including presentation and facilitation skills strong attention to detail
Structured problem solving and logical thinking skills
