Job Description
We are seeking a talented and driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading specialty electric motor manufacturer. In this role you will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of custom electric motors for a wide range of industrial applications from concept through production. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of electrical engineers manufacturing specialists and sales professionals to deliver highperformance precisionengineered solutions.
Position Offers
$100000$150000 salary. If your target pay is higher we still encourage you to applywe could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components and systems for electric motors including housings rotors stators shafts bearings and cooling systems.
Perform engineering analysis including stress thermal and dynamic simulations to optimize motor performance and reliability.
Create detailed 3D models engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software (SolidWorks or similar).
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability cost and quality.
Lead design reviews and participate in crossfunctional project meetings.
Research and integrate new materials technologies and design methods to improve product performance and efficiency.
Provide engineering support for prototyping testing troubleshooting and validation of new designs.
Maintain documentation according to company and industry standards including Bills of Materials (BOMs) test reports and engineering change orders (ECOs).
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Masters degree a plus).
3 years of experience in mechanical design preferably within electric motor or rotating equipment industries.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
Strong understanding of mechanical systems materials heat transfer and manufacturing processes.
Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools and techniques.
Knowledge of electric motor principles (AC DC induction synchronous motors) is highly desirable.
Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
