SDMCSutter Delta Medical CenterPosition Overview:
The Cook prepares food for patients staff visitors and catering functions. Coordinates own food production with others so foods are ready and served at specified times. May relieve in other food production areas such as cold production bakery on trayline or cafeteria if needed.Job Description:
EXPERIENCE
- The Cook must have previous quantity food production experience. Required
- Experience in hospital or skilled nursing facility cooking is desirable. Preferred
EDUCATION
- Additional Requirements/Area of Study: Trade school program in cooking.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- This position must have knowledge of weights measures and conversions to calculate amounts and follow recipes.
- Knowledge of modified diets is helpful.
- Use of food service equipment such as grill oven mixer grinder chopper knives and others.

Pay Range is $28.25 to $35.49 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience education skills licensure and certifications department equity training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
