Amazon Finance Technology is seeking a talented software development engineer to work on STARK Amazons homegrown Treasury RealTime Knowledge for Intelligent Cashflow Tracking system. In this role you will be building a next generation horizontallyscalable platform that will transact hundreds of billions of dollars each year as Amazon grows to a multi trilliondollar company. You will work on banks and financial services platform that executes bank balances cashflows and cash impacting transactions for financial movements and cashflow across all Amazon businesses. Financial expertise is not required but you should be know how to work with highly abstracted extensible systems in a multitenant microserviceoriented architecture.
As a Software Development Engineer in Finance Technology you will be responsible for driving implementation decisions delivering functional components and mentoring junior engineers to develop logical & maintainable software that meets high standards of quality and abstraction.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned engineer. In this position you will play a major role in the architecture design implementation and deployment of largescale and complex big data applications. You will push your design and architecture limits by inventing and simplifying complex problems. You have strong verbal and written communication skills are selfdriven and can deliver high quality results in a fastpaced environment. You will work with Amazon engineering and business teams across the globe in planning designing executing and implementing this new platform.
This is a brandnew platform we are building. We are currently in the stage of defining the architecture and highlevel design. So this is your chance to build this platform from scratch.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
