Job Description

Title: Facilities Assistant

Location: Ashburn VA

Schedule: This is a parttime position Monday through Friday from 4 PM (EST) to 8 PM (EST). This position is essential to the operations and may require a flexible schedule to support the operation.

Job Summary:

The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Specialist in the daytoday operations. The Facilities Assistant will assist in maintaining a safe clean and efficient work environment that significantly contributes to the overall productivity and satisfaction of our staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills along with a proactive approach to problemsolving.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily maintenance and operations of the facilities.

  • Under the guidance of the Facilities Specialist perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance services.

  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.

  • Support setup and breakdown for events and meetings as required.

  • Assist with inventory management of supplies and equipment.

  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Perform related duties as assigned within your scope of practice.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED

  • One 1 year of experience supporting a government facility

  • Working knowledge in MS Office including Excel Word Outlook and Teams.

  • Ability to type 45 wpm

  • Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with different departments within the company employees and with clients.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Requires the ability to prioritize have effective time management skills meet stringent deadlines balance multiple tasks and work in a team environment

  • Ability to handle sensitive and difficult situations with empathy and professionalism.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

  • Committed to providing outstanding customer service and representing the company in a professional manner.

  • Proven experience working in a fastpaced environment where personal initiative is a critical element to success.

Work Schedule:

This is a parttime position Monday through Friday from 4 PM (EST) to 8 PM (EST). This position is essential to the operations and may require a flexible schedule to support the operation.

Clearance:

  • Applicants selected may be subject to a government background investigation and may be required to meet the following conditions of employment.

Security Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance

  • Favorable credit Check.

  • Successfully pass a background investigation drug screen.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Standing/Walking/Mobility: 75 100 of the time.

  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 75 100 of the time.

  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 75 100 of the time must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Fine Motor Skills/Dexterity: Must be able to write type and use a telephone system up to 25 of the time.

  • Sitting: 0 5 of the time
