Job Description
License/Certification/Registration required:
*Board BE/BC in Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics.
*Completion of an ACGME Accredited Fellowship program per subspecialty requirements.
*Board BE/BC in subspecialty if applicable. Ability to be successfully credentialed by both Hospital and 3rd Party Payers.
Education required:
*Must have an M.D. D.O. or equivalent degree from another country with a current Minnesota Medical License or the ability to obtain one.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Clinical competency and expertise in caring for hospitalized children.
*Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
*Knowledge of common medication side effects and contraindications.
*Indepth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Respect for patients confidentiality.
*Compassionate and approachable.
*Responsible and trustworthy.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or oncall work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

Position Summary
The person in the physician role will be responsible for meeting assessing and diagnosing patients in a childrens hospital setting and provide them with healthcare services that meet state and national standards for caregiving. Responsible for prescribing patients with appropriate medication health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues prevent future health issues and/or promote a healthier life.

Proudly serving as Minnesotas childrens hospital since 1924 Childrens Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota is the eighthlargest pediatric health care organization in the U.S. Each year Childrens provides care through nearly 13000 inpatient visits and more than 200000 emergency room and other outpatient visits. An independent notforprofit health care provider Childrens has 319 staffed hospital beds and services available in all major pediatric specialties: emergency care; newborn and pediatric intensive care; outpatient and inpatient surgery; diagnostic services including radiology and laboratory; and special programs in the areas of respiratory cardiology cancer premature birth adolescent development child abuse and epilepsy.
