Job Description

The Head of AXA RACE is a key role responsible for ensuring both the delivery of the long term commercial success of AXAs large international travel partners (airline OTA financial institution telco) and increasing the visibility of the AXA value proposition in the international travel ecosphere . This role encompasses the following core areas:

    • Creation of the RACE toolbox (based on some first partial building blocks) to help Partners maximizing their revenues from selling travel insurance (hence make AXA competitive in hunting and retention) : ecommerce conversion techniques bundling with partner products loyalty schemes membership formulas product innovation with the partner alternative distribution schemes A/B testing customer testing benchmarking of sales performance across Partners coinnovation
    • Accompanying commercial team in promoting explaining and implementing the RACE tools towards the Partners. Be the representative of RACE into the external world
    • Deliver impact at Partners with main KPIs : conversion rate sales growth bpulse score margin growth for AXA
    • Engage with senior stakeholders at AXA and at Partner side on this unique market concept

  • The Role is key part of the SCALE UP strategic ambition in pillar 1 (selective growth) and focuses primarily (but not exclusively) on the fighter unit international travel deals.
  • The role reports directly to the Head of Travel Solutions

Internally the role collaborates mainly with local sales of AXA Partners countries the central commercial team in Travel Solutions the central implementation team in Travel Solutions the Value Proposition team (product) in travel solutions. Also close collaboration with TEX legal compliance ecommerce customer.

  • Strategy & development of continuous plans that position AXA through RACE in the market as differentiated and maximizing value for partners:
    Develop overall RACE concept and strategy
    Translate the concept into tailored approaches for selected prime Partners in line with partner needs and specificities
    Monitor continuous evolution of sales conversion and user experience (UX) as result of actions taken
    Ensure collaborative approach to partner management to ensure crossparty engagement in conversion improvement plans and to deliver against expectation
    Share conversion rate & UX best practices in the market place to ensure winwin benefit for both AXA and the partner
  • Partnership collaboration to differentiate AXAs & partners value propositions
    Drive travel insurance value deeper into partners revenue optimization models (aim to include in their bundles and their pricing models)
    Foster a culture of innovation with the partner to deliver marketleading new services increase adoption rates & drive new revenue creation channels
    Cocreate product enhancements tailored to partners needs and customer base
  • Stakeholder management to mobilize internal resource & secure strong external engagement
    Coordinate internal UX resource & expertise to create a customer facing team of experts to maximise conversion and adoption of travel insurance sales (RACE team: Revenue Acceleration Centre of Excellence)
    Support sales tenders through demonstration of the valuecreation potential of the RACE team
    Ensure strong external engagement and buyin from partners to support the rollout of new revenue streams
  • Marketing AXA Partners International Travel value proposition to drive visibility
    Develop and execute a communication strategy that increases AXAs visibility and share of voice in the international travel insurance space
    Lead communication of key successes on the global stage
    Support multichannel Thought Leadership activity across the broader travel environment
