Longterm Special Education Teacher
Reports To: Great Oak School PrincipalDESE CertifiedRoles and ResponsibilitiesEvaluate student abilities and progress within mandated timelines using formal assessmentsPlan lessons that meet the individual needs and abilities of the studentsConduct/participate in IEP annual review 3 year evaluations and initial evaluation meetingsWrite IEPs (accommodations modifications goals etc) in accordance with state and federal regulationsImplement a variety of instructional strategies consistent with goals and objectives outlined in students IEPs.Write progress reports for student IEPs.Ensure compliance with all IEP componentsDevelop collect and analyze data collection for progress monitoringCase management for students on liaison listProvide direct reading services to students using targeted research based multi sensory scientific programming (Science of Reading).Ability to communicate specifics of individualized programs to all staff and provide consultation/training of programs if necessaryCreate a learning environment that is conducive to learning through consistent behavior management implementationCollaborate with general education teachers and other team membersOther related duties as assignedAdditional Information:
