Job Description
Department of Health Sciences in the College of Health Professions has an opening for a fulltime 9month tenuretrack Assistant Professor. The faculty position will include teaching undergraduate inperson virtual and online courses in health professions with focus on health care knowledge human disease health research and professional skill development. Faculty will advise and mentor students to assist with entry into graduate school or job placement in both clinical and indirect patient care professions. Faculty will also coordinate student capstone opportunities and will be expected to make substantial contributions in teaching research/scholarly activities and service. The department also seeks candidates who will contribute to the Universitys general education curriculum and its emphasis on using highimpact teaching practices particularly those affiliated with one (or more) of the institutions pedagogical initiatives (e.g. Communitybased Learning Critical Thinking First Year Seminar Writing Across Curriculum etc.. Additionally the ideal candidate will contribute to the Colleges support of interdisciplinary programs of study. Candidates interviewing on campus must have official transcripts (undergraduate and graduate) forwarded directly to the chair of the search committee by their degree granting institutions prior to an oncampus interview.
