POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Delegated Underwriting Manager in London the Senior Delegated Underwriting Assistants responsibilities include ownership of the delegated underwriting onboarding process assistance with delegated underwriting compliance ensuring information is correctly and accurately recorded in the binder management tool as well as any ad hoc tasks or projects where required.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Development implementation and documentation of processes and controls for efficient handling of the Coverholders ensuring processes are appropriately documented in line with regulatory expectation and up to date and available on the Delegated Teams SharePoint site.

  • Assisting in establishing and maintaining a robust customer standards framework specifically the oversight and monitoring of customer standards policies and procedures for all Coverholders in line with regulatory expectations

  • Support the work of the Delegated Underwriting Manager (DUM) in controlling and monitoring the syndicates delegated underwriting business ensuring adherence to Lloyds and local regulations.

  • Onboarding and ongoing monitoring of Coverholders ensuring their compliance with reporting requirements following up on any areas of noncompliance with underwriters Coverholders reporting on any findings.

  • Supporting onboarding and ongoing monitoring of DCAs ensuring their compliance with reporting requirements following up on any areas of noncompliance with adjusters DCAs reporting on any findings.

  • Assisting in the completion of new Coverholder applications and ensuring complete application information is collated for both Lloyds and Customer Relations Committee (CRC) approval.

  • Review any Coverholder supporting High Product business and ensure that the Coverholder understands Conduct Risk and the Insurance Distribution Directive requirements.

  • Oversight of the audit process including but not limited to

    • Review of audit schedule and scoping of Coverholder audits.

    • Review of audit reports loading audit requests and recommendations into audit tool tracking recommendations and following up with brokers Coverholders to resolve recommendations.

  • Review and support for adherence to contract certainty including performing PBQA checks.

  • Contribution to the production of committee reporting packs and reconciliations between the accounting UW and risk systems to ensure data is consistent and complete.

  • Maintenance and testing of delegated underwriting processes and systems.

  • Responsible for ensuring the RSM Standard of Service is communicated to third parties.

EXPECTED COMPETENCIES:

  • Performs with minimal supervision.

  • Applies strong technical skills to achieve results.

  • Good knowledge of Lloyds and Delegated Authority processes

  • Knowledge of Insurance Distribution Directive.

  • 6 years delegated UW assistant experience or experience in a similar role.

London specific:

  • Lloyds/ London Market knowledge essential.
