Job Description

Description of Service Opportunity:

In order to support multilingual learners in the use of Illustrative Mathematics a languageheavy curriculum a group of teachers will analyze the language demands of each lesson and create language supports for each unit in each grade K5.

These language supports may include:
Tier 1 Tier 2 and Tier 3 vocabulary lists with visuals for high priority words.
Sentence frames for conversation and writing in math.
Suggested kinesthetic movements and chants aligned with important conceptual words.

This group will compile these resources in a way that will make them easy to share with teachers across the district in SEI classrooms and general education classrooms.

MinimumRequirements:

Experience teaching the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum in Cambridge Public Schools in an SEI classroom

Length of Contract:

April 28 2025 to June 30 2025

Contract Amount

Not exceed $2000.00

Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a nonexemptemployee and have worked more than 40 hours a week you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours.
