You are the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist that we are seeking for our Adult and Addiction Services program located in our Lafayette Indiana office. As a CPRS you will work alongside patients providing peer support services serving as a patient advocate and facilitating nonclinical skills/support groups with the support of a licensed clinician.

Peer Recovery Specialist Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients in identifying personal goals for recovery
  • Works with clinicians in the development of treatment and discharge plans.
  • Provides case management services as identified in the patients treatment plan; coordination of contractual care as needed
  • Completes relevant assessments
  • Assist patients in recognizing barriers to recovery
  • Assist patients in recognizing their personal strengths they build their recovery capital.
  • Facilitate nonclinical skills groups
  • Assist patients in building social skills and the development of healthy relationships.
  • Model different ways someone in recovery uses selfcare.

We are seeking Peer Recovery Specialist Candidates with the following qualities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Selfidentified person in recovery from substance use with sustained period of recovery for at least 2 years.
  • Holds current Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) credential from the DMHA.
  • Valid drivers license a driving record meeting Meridians driving policy reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance required
