Position title: Intern Project Coordinator

Reports to: Operations Project Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Intern to join our team this summer. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain handson experience in project management within a dynamic and supportive manufacturing environment. The Intern Project Coordinator will assist in planning organizing and managing projects from kickoff through to completion ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. It will involve working with our enterprise resource management system and will help to implement our Lean BOM configuration and management practices. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills a proactive attitude and a passion for learning about project coordination ERP/BOMs and team collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Operations Project Manager in coordinating change management activities related to product engineering and manufacturing operations.
  • Support the creation maintenance and updating of Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Engineering Production and Quality to gather and manage project documentation and information.
  • Help organize and track project timelines deliverables and action items to ensure timely completion of project goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress changes and outcomes within project tracking tools and ERP systems.
  • Participate in meetings document meeting notes and follow up on action items as needed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Lean manufacturing practices related to BOM configuration and production workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Position Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Business Administration Operations Management Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality accurate work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint); familiarity with project management and/or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new tools processes and concepts effectively.
  • Interest in Lean manufacturing principles change management and continuous improvement practices.
  • Analytical thinking and problemsolving abilities to support process enhancements and operational improvements.
  • Selfmotivated with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity with sensitive business information.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

This role is onsite in a Lean Manufacturing environment utilizing equipment and materials and depends on direct and daily communication with many different personnel from crossfunctional teams. Hybrid/remote work is not available for this role.

Wages: $20 $22 per hour

Hours: 40/week
