Pay Range:

  • Wages start at $18 and pay scale increases based on experience and licensure.

This is a full time position working a rotating weekend schedule (one weekend on one weekend off) 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.

At The Refuge a Healing Place we specialize in unraveling the trauma story understanding the addiction/mental health disorder and creating a recovery story! We are a residential treatment center specializing in trauma treatment substance use disorders eating disorders PTSD and other mental health disorders.

Activity Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Complete activity assessment through client observation and client/family interview obtaining information on clients needs skills interests and limitations for the development and implementation of the treatment plan.
  • Plan organize direct and implement an activities program within the treatment program to facility client progress with treatment goals
  • Facilitate and lead activity sessions to improve client mental and physical well-being
  • Engage clients in therapeutic activities such as exercise games and community outings.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Therapeutic Recreation Recreational Therapy or related field required.
  • 2 years experience in recreation in a healthcare setting required.
