Know Your Rights: Notice for California Applicants: Purchasing Supervisor (PS) will oversee the procurement and distribution of the organizations equipment supplies and services. The PS works closely with management to develop best practices that ensure safety quality compliance and cost reduction as well as support on time and in full delivery to internal and external customers. The PS must demonstrate consistent initiative be capable of working independently and within a team with a sense of urgency and possess creativity to identify and recommend beneficial changes through Leadership influence. Must have a lead by example solutionfocused mentality. These activities include but are not limited to; leading/supporting the strategic sourcing process of national regional and/or local agreements to include bidding negotiations supplier selection/development and contract management. Will be responsible for developing purchase orders in accordance with specifications requirements work statements and terms and conditions. Prepares/reviews proposals develops evaluation criteria selects or recommends suppliers creates electronic purchase orders (ePO) files for review prepares awards and administers resulting purchase orders. Negotiates additions deletions or modifications to purchase orders and resolves invoicing issues. Follow and execute to established and approved procurement policies and procedures in order to provide the best value consistent with quality and service requirements while maintaining good supplier relations. Ensure compliance to policies and procedures in addition to training the team as needed. Processes and organizes purchase orders invoices and receiving documents for Accounts Payable. Main point of contact for hospital MM team. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING

  1. Bachelors Degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 4years experience as a Buyer in a healthcare industry required.
  3. Minimum 3years of related experience within procurement or in process improvement required.
  4. Prior supervisory experience and a proven track record in developing high performance teams in involving Buyer/Planner direct reports required.
  5. Extensive knowledge of the acquisition of equipment supplies and policies and procedures in healthcare required.
  6. Strong planning and organization critical thinking and decisionmaking skills.
  7. Must demonstrate analytical mathematical decisionmaking and negotiating skills.
  8. Strong written and verbal communications skills
  9. Strong computer skills (MS Office)

Benefits may vary based on employment status i.e. fulltime parttime per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role which includes estimated wages benefits and other forms of compensation is $68640.00 to $107161.60 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire in which a wide range of factors will be considered including but not limited to skillset years of applicable experience education credentials and licensure.
