Member of Technical Staff Head of Engineering

The Head of Engineering will own the full engineering stack and establish the technical vision culture and velocity. This is a technical leadership role (TLM) not a direct management positionyou will be handson architecting scalable solutions ensuring system reliability and mentoring a team of highly skilled engineers.
Your Impact
Architect and scale distributed systems: Design highthroughput lowlatency infrastructure for AIdriven search and commerce
Define best practices: Streamline CI/CD enforce highquality code and optimize engineering processes
Integrate AI/ML: Collaborate to build AIpowered search recommendations and personalization
Ensure performance & reliability: Develop faulttolerant scalable systems for high uptime
Lead by doing: Contribute code review designs and mentor engineers
Align engineering with strategy: Translate business goals into scalable solutions.
Drive a highvelocity culture: Prioritize technical rigor and continuous improvement
Who You Are
Technical expertise: 7 years in distributed systems HPC or realtime data processing
Fullstack proficiency: Backend (Python Go Rust) infra (Kubernetes Terraform AWS/GCP) frontend (React Java etc..
AI/ML experience Strong plus if youve worked with ML inference pipelines vector search or largescale data processing.
Bias for action: Move fast while balancing speed and sustainability.
Startupready: Comfortable with ambiguity fastpaced environments and wearing multiple hats.
TLM mindset: Lead through influence drive and raise the bar.
