Job Description

Working under minimal supervision the Warehouse Floater performs all job duties of Material Handler and the following duties:

• Receiving shipping function maintaining ERP system

• Receives unpacks and checks incoming materials and associated documentation.

• Unloads carriers.

• Maintains files/processes documentation.

• Operates duplicating equipment/automated record keeping equipment including computers (ERP system).

• Operates forklift trucks and other equipment.

• Checks and issues materials identified sorts and stores materials transports materials furnishes stock level info determines/carried out methods of storage identification and stock location.

• Receives counts checks units to be shipped checking associated documentation.

• Packs articles and secures containers with labels/shipping info.

Skills & Capabilities

• Grade 12 or equivalent experience and capability

• Successful completed Forklift Operation Training.

• Broad knowledge of inventory control and material handling techniques.

• Good computer skills

• Competent reading and writing skills

• Physical job demands
