Performs landscaping tasks and operates a variety of small engine equipment. Work includes chemical application general landscape maintenance and installation. This position operates various types of equipment at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Equipment operated includes mowers skid steer dingo water truck small motorized equipment and chemical sprayer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sprays weeds and treats for pests. Performs routine and special landscape maintenance. Installs plant material and maintains landscape areas. Operates small engine equipment such as chainsaws string trimmers and blowers. Operates heavy equipment and trucks such as F550 dump truck skid steer dingo truck with trailer and chemical sprayer. Inspects assigned equipment for readiness and safety. Completes related records and reports. Performs related manual labor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
No minimum level plus five years of experience
High School Graduate or Equivalent plus three years of experience
CDL A or B depending on the area of assignment
Preferred Qualifications
High School graduation/GED and at least one year of experience operating one or more pieces of equipment mentioned previously or if no high school diploma/GED three years experience required. One to three years experience in the operation of one or more of the pieces of equipment mentioned previously.
