This position is responsible for independently performing audits and adjustments of child support cases which requires documenting support payments and credits in compliance with appropriate statutes and regulations. Duties require the incumbent to reconcile financial data from multiple databases or records from another child support agency. Other adjustments may include new case setup reinstatements modifications and distribution verifications when children are receiving public assistance benefits under Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) Tribal TANF and Foster Care. The position is also responsible for training accounting technicians and promoting good working relationships with staff within the Division State and other agencies.

Located in the Atwood building in downtown Anchorage we are a large division with 196 employees.
Who We Are Looking For
One year of entry technical level accounting or clerical bookkeeping experience.
Substitutions:
Certification as an Accounting Technician from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience.
Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience 3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month) if it includes at least 6 semester/8 quarter hours in Accounting.
