The Role: Cost Estimator II
As an Estimator II with Worley you will work closely within our existing estimating team to prepare Cost Estimates for domestic and international projects in accordance with the Worley established procedures.
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following JobSpecific Knowledge:
Familiarity with AACEI Estimate Classification system for Class 2&3 of Estimates and an ability to independently develop all types of Cost Estimates.
Fully proficient level with full knowledge of the principles procedures and practices of cost estimation.
Translate the engineering MTOs into the estimate workbooks of capital expenditure costs as per detailed MTOs matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours.
Ability to develop scope independently from P&IDs and engineering or construction drawings
Understanding for field installation workhours for estimates related to Pipeline Mechanical Piping Civil Structural Electrical and Instrumentation works.
Segregate Estimates by Construction Works Area/Construction work packages
Familiar with local supplier network for obtaining vendor budgetary quotations
Independently develop Basis of Estimate (BOE) Report including assumptions & exclusion for Class 3 or Class 2 type of Estimates to document how the estimate was developed.
Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts. Continue to develop the ability to influence participation in the preparation and delivery of proposals and presentations.
Strong understanding of systems processes and tools related to field. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues.
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
A. Technical and Industry Experience
Minimum 8 years experience in Cost Estimation related roles.
Broad knowledge and experience of Cost Estimation tools and practices
Ability to work and manage in a multicultural environment with good understanding of cost estimation parameters to be considered for domestic and international regions
Skill to actively learn and develop Cost Estimates for all direct and indirect disciplines
Peer review Cost Estimates prepared by others in the team
Knowledge and understanding of Cost Estimation practices for developing Greenfield Brownfield and Modular Cost Estimates
Provide support in the development of estimating standards procedures and systems for the estimating of tenders and proposals
Support the development of future benchmarking and estimating tools.
B. Supervision and Decision Making
Decision Making: Working under minimal supervision able to plan own work and accomplish varied and complex tasks with the ability to discover issues and recommend solutions.
Supervision Received: Works under supervision and selfinitiated technical guidance with regular weekly to monthly interaction with supervisor. Work is not generally supervised in detail and amount of supervision varies depending upon the assignment. Broad duties assigned monthly. Work is occasionally reviewed for accuracy.
Education Qualifications
Required: A fulltime Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited university.
Preferred: Graduation qualifications preferably in Civil or Mechanical
Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups and make presentations when required.
Enthusiastic in stakeholder management skills and team player
Preferable Streams: Oil and Gas Chemicals or Mining
Preferable Exposure: to US Middle East and Australian Estimates
Knowledge of any Estimating related software.

Full-Time
