Job Description
Job Title: Middle School Mathematics Teacher (Grades 68
School: Clinton Middle School
District: Clinton Public Schools
Location: Clinton Oklahoma
Reports To: Gene Ray Principal
Position Summary: Clinton Middle School seeks a passionate skilled and dedicated Middle School Mathematics Teacher to join our collaborative team for the upcoming school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive and engaging learning environment developing students understanding of mathematical concepts and equipping them with essential problemsolving and criticalthinking skills necessary for success in high school and beyond. This position involves planning delivering and assessing mathematics instruction for students in grades 6 through 8 aligned with the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Mathematics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging standardsaligned lesson plans and instructional materials for middle school mathematics (grades 68.
- Utilize a variety of effective instructional strategies resources and technologies to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Establish and maintain a positive respectful safe and wellmanaged classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student learning regularly through formative and summative assessments (e.g. observations projects tests quizzes) and use data to inform instruction and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records including attendance grades and progress reports as required by law district policy and administrative regulations.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with students parents/guardians colleagues and school administration regarding student progress classroom activities and curriculum.
- Collaborate with gradelevel teams math department colleagues special education staff and support personnel to enhance student learning and wellbeing.
- Integrate technology appropriately into mathematics instruction to enhance learning experiences.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings professional development opportunities and schoolsponsored activities.
- Adhere to all Clinton Public Schools policies procedures and ethical guidelines.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designated administrator.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement for teaching Mathematics in grades 68 (e.g. Middle Level/Intermediate Mathematics Secondary Mathematics).
- Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics content and pedagogy.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a classroom.
- Excellent communication collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to utilize technology for instruction and recordkeeping.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks.
