Job Description

A creative and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher with a focus on Resistant Materials is required to join a wellregarded Independent boarding secondary school for boys aged 1318 in Brent. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their design thinking and practical skills in working with materials such as wood metal and plastics.

Responsibilities

  • Plan prepare and deliver engaging Design & Technology Teacher lessons focusing on Resistant Materials at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop students skills in design processes material manipulation and manufacturing techniques related to resistant materials.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Design & Technology providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning.
  • Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum with a focus on Resistant Materials.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Design & Technology Teacher lessons with a focus on Resistant Materials at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong practical skills in working with resistant materials and knowledge of relevant tools and machinery.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills capable of inspiring creativity and problemsolving in students.
