Job Description
Job Title: CAD Manager
Location: Buena Park CA
Job Type: Permanent/Direct Hire
Responsibilities
- Keep projects on schedule and the staff priorities focused on due dates
- Attend weekly meetings with principals to provide updates on project status
- Perform computer aided design and drafting (CADD) for the company s entire portfolio
- Perform effective client coordination in a timely manner scheduling monitoring and ensuring that projects are completed on time
- Organize and standardize client files and drawings
- Prepare accurate and quality work products
- Ensure that plans sketches etc. follow all relevant building codes and project standards
- Keep project files organized accessible and backed up
- Take ownership of the CAD Department s performance and work products
- Oversee staff and their compliance with quality control standards in advance of plans and sketches going out to the customers
- Aid the CAD team and the engineers in their work and stay on track throughout the project
- Take ownership of assignment/project results with minimal assistance from engineering staff Ensure work products are being processed and approved with minimal delays or plan check corrections
- Handle heavy workloads under tight deadlines
- Make sure that the entire production staff (CAD engineers etc. keep working on billable projects
- Maintain office software and hardware
- Develop and maintain standard details library
Requirements
- Education Bachelor s Degree preferred
- ComputerAided Design and Drafting (CADD) Minimum eight 8 years experience at least two 2 years on structural projects
- Leadership CAD projects and project team management experience
- Computer Skills AutoCAD MS Office Revit (desirable) Graphic Software
- Certification Valid California Driver s License
- Work Setting Must be willing and able to work onsite five 5 days a week
- Communication Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills required
