Job Description
We are seeking a Carbon Data Manager to lead the creation maintenance and quality assurance of largescale environmental datasets that drive datadriven decisionmaking across the organization. In this role you will oversee data quality governance and reporting frameworks ensuring the accuracy integrity and consistency of critical business data.
As a key leader within the Data & Analytics function you will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline data processes strengthen governance practices and advance strategic data initiatives. Your expertise will be essential in developing scalable highquality data solutions that enable actionable insights and business impact.
This role requires a combination of technical expertise leadership skills and strategic vision to drive efficiency in data workflows enhance data governance and shape an enterprisewide data strategy that supports longterm sustainability and innovation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Data Governance & Quality Assurance:
- Define and implement data governance policies to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Develop and oversee data validation reconciliation and cleansing processes.
- Monitor data quality metrics and implement strategies to improve data accuracy and consistency.
Data Management & Maintenance:
- Lead the collection structuring and management of large datasets from multiple sources.
- Oversee database maintenance troubleshooting and optimization to ensure data availability and performance.
- Manage and optimize ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes to streamline data workflows.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Oversee the development of highquality dashboards and reports to support datadriven decisionmaking.
- Guide the team in performing exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and insights.
- Ensure alignment of reporting frameworks and KPIs with business objectives.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with senior leadership business teams and product managers to identify and implement datadriven solutions.
- Act as a strategic advisor by providing datadriven insights to product strategy and customer experience teams.
- Work closely with data engineers business analysts and developers to enhance data pipelines and reporting capabilities.
- Support business development and decisionmaking through advanced data analytics.

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated driven and have a passion to be part of a fastpaced successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.
Essential:
- 5 years of experience in data management data quality assurance or data governance.
- Proven people management skills ability to lead and motivate teams of 35 people over longterm projects.
- Proven expertise in handling and maintaining large complex datasets.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying transforming and managing structured data.
- Handson experience with data validation cleansing and quality control techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and criticalthinking skills.
- Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS GCP Azure) and data warehousing.
- Understanding of ETL processes and automation for data pipelines.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks compliance standards and regulatory reporting.
- Background in economics carbon markets or sustainability analytics (preferred but not required).
