Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Compliance Specialist to work remotely. However the client is located in Sacramento CA and thus its expected that this individuals working hours be on Pacific Timezone.
SUMMARY:
This role will support environmental compliance by entering data analyzing commitments and preparing reports within the EMMA database to ensure documentation and implementation of regulatory requirements during construction activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Code environmental commitments from environmental and permit approval documents into the EMMA database
- Prepare reports in EMMA to identify gaps and document mitigation compliance
- Support the environmental compliance manager to use EMMA for construction compliance demonstration
- Interact with regulatory agency staff to answer routine construction compliance questions
- Assist with document control in SharePoint and other applications
- Assist with constructionphase compliance reporting
Qualifications :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and permits and approvals under Sections 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act Section 7 of the federal Endangered Species Act Section 2081 of the California Endangered Species Act and Section 1600 of the California Fish and Game Code among others
- Experience in construction compliance tracking documentation and reporting
- Biology or conservation background
- Experience with designbuild contracting and construction processes
- Experience working on large complex environmental compliance programs
