This team is dedicated to advancing the mission of Montgomery County byfacilitatingan equitablerecruitment and screening process resulting in a diverse and inclusive workforce.Recruiterswork in partnership with County leaders to actively seek out and court candidates develop candidate pipelines andimprovethe recruitment and selection process for both candidates and hiring managers.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
Partneringwith hiring managers toidentifystaffing needs and devise winning recruitment strategies.
Managingthe full life cycle recruitment process for positions in assigned business units.
Developingandexecutinginnovative recruiting and sourcing strategies including the usage of social media web searches referrals and industryspecific sources to ensure a pipeline of highly qualified talent.
Proactivelydevelopingpipelines of qualified candidates in advance of need.
Guidingcandidates and hiring managers through the interview process keeping everyoneinformed.
Regularlyupdatinghiring managers and othersregardingthe status ofonboardingactivities.
Developingdelivering andsupportingtraining for relevant staffing activities.
Creatingandmaintainingbest practices for recruitment and diverse talent sourcing.
Reviewingsalary requirements and negotiates salary offers with applicants.
Facilitatingthe deliveryof an exceptional customer and applicant experience.
Providing guidance and advice on recruitment policies best practices and the development and use of valid selection criteria.
To perform the job successfully candidates should have:
A knack for clear communication and a cando attitude when it comes to finding talent.
Experience working in a highly collaborative culture to deliver a highquality talent sourcing program.
Experienceutilizingjob boards and social media sourcing tools.
Experience conducting outreach hosting community events and networking with colleges universities professional and other organizations to recruit candidates.
Additional Information:
Candidates must have the ability to travel to various locations throughout the County.

Education:Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration or related field.
Experience:Positions may be filled at the Human Resources Specialist I or II level as follows:
Human Resources Specialist I Grade N18 werequireone year of applicable professional experience inPersonnel Administration.
Human Resources Specialist II Grade N22 werequiretwo years of applicable professional experience in Personnel Administration.
Equivalency:An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Preferred Criteria:
Candidates withhigh volumerecruitment and talent sourcing experience.
Candidates with recruitment and talent sourcing experiencein Federal State or Local Government Agencies are highly desired.
Experience working withApplicant Tracking Systems(NEOGOV Government Jobs USA Jobs or similar systems) orOracle systems are highly desired.
Expertiseinutilizingvarious sourcing methods including job boards social media platforms targeted online searches and professional networks.
Experience managing the full recruitmentlifecycle for multiplehard to fillpositions.
Proventrack recordof partnering with stakeholders to understand staffing needs and develop successful recruitment strategies.
Using Human Resources Information Systems and applications.
