To strengthen our team in Hamburg we are searching for a
Strategic Purchaser (m/f/d)
Your Tasks:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies for longterm procurement goals
- Identify and qualify suppliers to meet company requirements
- Negotiate prices terms and contracts with suppliers to lower risks and improve project and company margin
- Manage supplier performance quality control and delivery times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure intime availability for ongoing projects
- Monitor and report on market trends affecting procurement
- Identify suitable partner for frame work agreements and initiate negotiations
Your Profile:
- Completed relevant educational background such as a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum 35 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management with a focus on strategic purchasing
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) additional language skills (e.g. German French) are an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and a procurement software (e.g. SAP Oracle)
- Expertise in contract negotiations including pricing terms and agreements with suppliers
- Experience in the renewable energy sector manufacturing or offshore industries is a plus
- Strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams including engineering project management tender and finance
- Adaptable to working in a rapidly changing environment and responding to evolving business needs
